OH MY WORD
Bear leaks through his diaper EVERY NIGHT! We've tried everything we can think of. We've tried plastic covers over his diaper, which didn't work too well since the smallest size I could find is still too big for him. We've tried waking him up four hours after he goes to sleep to change his diaper in the middle of the night. What else can we do? I need some suggestions, here, people. Help me!! I cannot keep waking up to a screaming wet baby. And he is waking up before he's rested, too. Which in turn wakes Brenner up before he's completely rested. Please help my family figure out a way to get some sleep!

Which brand diaper are you using? I never had any problems with Luvs with my boys but I HATED Huggies! They would leak every other diaper! And maybe going up a size in diaper? Hmmm...
Are you using cloth or disposable? I would put a pair of fleece shorts/pants/diaper cover over his diaper as an extra layer between him and his jammies. We LOVE fleece covers!
Are you using night-time disposable diapers? We have been using the night Huggies diapers for well over year and no leakage!
We use Pampers nighttime diapers with Julian...we've had a few accidents even with these, but they're less frequent.
Also, we've cut back on the amount of milk he gets before bedtime, giving him more throughout the day instead. That has helped too.
Anna pees through her diaper every night, too!!! I'm amazed at what this tiny girl can put out....and I even change her in the night when she eats! The cloth diaper adventure starts tonight...cant' wait to see what happens
Just a suggestion my mom used to do when my brother was a baby ... she would put a cloth diaper in the disposable diaper - like a liner. (fold it in thirds then lay it in the diaper, fold one end to make more padding in the front of the diaper)
Hope this helps! : )
From a friend of a friend!
Have you tried hemp inserts? We have to do double hemp inserts at night. We are just now getting to the point where after 2 years those are leaking a little after all night, and I might throw a microfiber towel inside there too (you can get those in the automotive section at WalMart).
I've also heard great things about wool....oh I forget the term...some wool short things worn over them at night.
Oh wait, I'm sorry. That only applies if you are cloth diapering. :)
I think you are cloth diapering... we are using Rumparooz G2's, with a fleece insert, and a hemp doubler. Sam never leaks.
If that is not working, maybe try stripping your diapers and inserts (put a tablespoon of Dawn in with your diapers, and rinse until there are no more bubbles, usually takes about 4 rinses!)
Hope this helps
First, I need to know if you are using disposables or cloth. =)
I agree with the stripping Sarah. That usually made a difference with Kinsey's cloth diapers. Have you tried that yet?
I agree, are you talking about using disposables at night, or cloth? Either way, putting a fleece or wool soaker over it should help a TON. You could also lay hemp liners inside a sposie.
Let me go dig through my diaper stuff. I think I still have some fleece soakers/covers and possibly a wool one. :)
Oh- Nickisdiapers has some wool covers too.
Oh, and you can search on Etsy for "fleece soakers" or "fleece diaper covers". Hope that helps!
