Ethiopia
Did you know that 1 in 14 women will die in childbirth in Ethiopia? It's 1 in 2800 in the U.S. Woah.

Yay! Their closet is finally done! You wouldn't even believe how much work this ridiculous closet was, but now I can put all that behind me. :) We bought the toy box at a garage sale, and let me tell you... it did NOT look good. It was red and white with some sad little wood letters that were barely hanging on by a thread. I gave it a little TLC, and Brenner loves it now! I also painted the bins and the three cubby shelf, and I'm pretty happy with how it all turned out. Now if we could just get a referall so that I could go crazy baby clothes shopping and get some darling baby outfits hung in that closet!
Okay, so... less than a month ago we were at number 14 on the waitlist. We're number 4 now... can you believe it? I am just in awe at how fast this is going. I did not expect anything in international adoption to move along quickly, but here we are! So, I'm expecting there to be another batch of referrals in the next three weeks to a month, and I'm also expecting that we will be getting one of those referrals. I can hardly even wrap my mind around the idea of seeing my son's face for the first time!!! So, anyway, I will keep you all posted! (Just a side note... photography in the last post was by Vanessa Wadsworth, Roxanne Pearce and Sara Bedient.)
Since I haven't really been posting too much lately, I decided to give everyone a taste of the Feeney family summer through... you got it! A picture update!!! Yay! Enjoy! (Especially you, Roxanne!)
